This years crop tour takes place over three days. Attend one, a couple, all of them, or just join for the social and dinner.

Monday Morning, June 19th; 7:00 AM

1st Field Demonstration (7:00 AM): Weed Control and Carryover Effects Associated with a Heavy-Rate, Metribuzin (Sencor®) or Flumioxazin (Fierce®) Application in Chemical Fallow.
Coordinates: 45.55970° N; 119.45927° W
Driving Instructions: From Lexington, travel a little more than 13 miles N/NE on HWY 207; Turn right onto SANDHOLLOW Road and drive 1.4 miles (just beyond the old barn and two, dead locust trees) and take the “easy” left. Travel to the east 4 miles. On the way, you will pass by our 2nd field demonstration….keep going another 2 miles or so. Plots are just west of the intersection of BARCLAY Lane and CAMPBELL Road.
2nd Field Demonstration (8:15 AM): Weed Control Effects of a Post-Plant, PreEmergence Application of Pyroxasulfone (Zidua® SC; Anthem® Flex) on Winter Wheat, and …
3rd Field Demonstration: Same Site (9:15 AM): Research on an Unconventional (Copper and Zinc) Seed Treatment for Control of Fusarium Crown Rot and other Diseases.

Driving Instructions: Two (2) miles west of the first field demonstration.

Tuesday Morning, June 20th; 7:00 AM
Alternative and Cover Crops

1st Field Demonstration (7:00 AM): Alternative Crop/Cover Crop; On-Farm Research.
Coordinates: 45.44405° N; 119.84521° W
Driving Instructions: From Ione Grade School, travel approximately 3.5 miles south on the Ione/Gooseberry Road to the “Y” at the top of the hill. Stay left and drive another mile or so and then turn left onto MORTER Lane; travel to the east for 0.7 miles. Plots are on the left-hand (north) side of the gravel road. (Just west of the Dairy).
2nd Field Demonstration (8:00 AM): Sorghum Production and/or Spring Wheat After Fallow in the Low Precipitation Zone of Morrow County. In close proximity to the first field demonstration.

Wednesday Afternoon & Evening June 21st; 4:00 – 8:00 PM
Winter Wheat Variety Trial

Social and Potluck Dinner to Follow

1st (and only) Field Demonstration (4:00 PM): Winter Wheat Variety Trial and Review of CoAxium® Wheat Production System. Learn About Survival of the Fittest in this Extremely Dry Area of our County; Tail gate discussions….
Coordinates: 45.50769° N; 120.00500° W
Driving Instructions: From Ione, travel west/northwest (down the creek) on HWY 74. Drive about 3 miles (just beyond mile marker 25) and then turn left onto … McNab Lane. Travel west on McNab Lane for about 5½ miles. Turn right onto Fourmile Canyon Road. Plots are about half a mile down the road (to the north). Look for the signs.
